Advantageof rotary engine in vehicle

Motivation/explanation of the research

The research aims at identifying the benefits that come about withthe use of the rotary engines. An understanding of the rotary enginesand how they operate would be carried out as a way of gaining muchinformation as to their use. Findings of the research would be usedto guide in decision-making and look at the possibilities of usingthe rotary engines in automobiles. The motivation to carry out theresearch emanates from the fact that previously, there has been muchinterest when it comes to the use of the rotary engines. Notableautomobile companies such as Mazda were seen to try to use the rotaryengines in some of their cars such as RX-8 (Alexandru and Buzbuchi2014). Further, the increase in the cost of gasoline and challengeswith the other forms of engines has resulted in a renewal of interestin the possibility of using the rotary engines. Rotary engines arebeneficial and need to be assessed for the possibility of using themin automobiles.

Summary of argument

The use of rotary engine started upon its invention by Felix Wankelduring the nineteenth century1.The article provides insights into the historical background of therotary engine and a parallel success story on its use (Karwatka2015). The engine had also been used in a motorcycle identifyingother ways through which the engine can be used apart from the RX-8manufactured by Mazda2.There is need to explore benefits of using the rotary engine(Alexandru and Buzbuchi. 2014) citing efficiencies and speed3.Further, rotary engines are efficient particularly compared to thereciprocating engines because of the performance as stated byAmrouche et al4.Rotary engine can further be beneficial upon introduction of somemodifications particularly geometric analysis5.According to Al-Hawaj, there is need to analyze the rotary engine andintroduction of measures aimed at improving the performance of theengine6.Thegeometric analysis will help in facilitating its incorporation intothe automobile industry (Al-Hawaj 2015)
